Everybody loves to eat on Thanksgiving, whether it's the traditional spread of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and rolls or a non-traditional meal, which can take a turn at any given point. Some families opt out on turkey and cook a pasta dinner, while others just completely start throwing things into the food like my brother's wife's family that one Thanksgiving that still makes me shudder years later. I don't wanna talk about it.
While it can be a little blurry on what to cook and how to cook it, there is one thing that you can count on being a winner in most states when it comes to "weird thanksgiving dishes" people will give you a pass on and that one dish is JELL-O salad. Say what? Yes, ambrosia, jell-o salad, whatever you call it...it is by far the most appreciated "weird thanksgiving dish" that most of us like by state.
