Facebook Offers Feature to Help Parents Monitor Kids Online

Last week, Facebook received a lot of backlash after a whistle blower went on CNN and spoke about how Facebook has been ignoring research for years proving that social media leads to problems with youth and consumption of content that negatively effects developmental health.

To start the week off, Facebook announced that they are putting new features in place that parents can activate in order to monitor and protect their kids online.

The three features consist of notifying a kid when they may need a break from social media, if they seem to be consuming too much content that will negatively effect their developmental health and another feature that allows parents to monitor their kid's activity online.
