Man Arrested for Throwing Rocks Over I-90

For the last couple of weeks, drivers have feared driving down I-90 by Mercer Island. Recently there have been instances of somebody throwing rocks off of overpasses onto passing car windows. Two people have been injured and for the past 2 weeks, a suspect was unknown. However, police have apprehended a suspect who was seen riding a bike along the overpass throwing rocks while wearing a lit helmet.

The crime of throwing rocks onto an overpass range from misdemeanor assault to felony assault, depending on the severity of the injuries. The suspect was arrested for a felony charge late Sunday/early Monday morning after being apprehended.
