Starbucks to Extend their COVID-19 Catastrophe Pay Until May 3rd

Starbucks Reports Quarterly Earnings

The last couple of weeks have been crazy for workers across the United States. Some people miss going to work and some feel more comfortable staying at home, away from potentially catching the COVID-19 virus. Starbucks, who has been under scrutiny during the COVID pandemic had announced last week that they will offer pay to their workers whether or not they choose to work during this time.

Given the escalation of the situation, Starbucks announced to their partners that they will be extending the COVID-19 Catastrophe Pay until May 3rd. Their cafes will continue to stay closed, but drive-thrus will allow workers to stay working, as well.
