When news broke that Disney was going to be remaking the LIttle Mermaid I flipped out! One of my top favorite Disney movies of all times. Between you and me, I sang the "Look at this Stuff" song in my 3rd grade talent show, so yes, I'm a die hard fan of the movie. I think like most girls, when we think of Ariel from The Little Mermaid, we think of a girl who breaks out of typical family tradition and paves their own way through the world. It's a lesson that most of us have to learn and it's a lesson a lot of us maybe learned during The Little Mermaid.
I am so excited about who Disney has cast to play Ariel in The Little Mermaid remake. Her name is Halle Bailey and she is part of the sister duo Chloe X Halle. Her voice is so beautiful. It will definitely do the music from The Little Mermaid justice for sure.
