Drinking Bottled Water Not Just Bad for the Environment

Plastic water bottle floating on water surface

We've seen tons and tons of reports the last year showing that the use of plastic bottles to drink water has increased environmental risks, but a new study that just came out shows that drinking bottled water over tap water causes individuals to show they are ingesting much more plastic than originally thought.

The new study shows that humans are ingesting nearly 99,000 additional microplastics a year when drinking bottled water. According to Tox Town, "There is concern that microplastics could harm human health as they move through the marine food web."

You can read more about the study HERE. But, in short, grab yourself an eco-friendly water bottle and do yourself and the environment a favor today.
