You might want to check your candy stash because Mars Wrigley issued a recall for gummy candies due to a possibility of a thin metal strand that could be inside the candy or loose in the bag.
Wrigley is recalling certain varieties of Skittle Gummies, Starburst Gummies and Life Saver Gummies that were distributed in the United States, Canada and Mexico after receiving complaints from customers. So far the company is not aware of any illnesses or injuries caused by the metal strands.
You can head to ABC 7 to see which products are affected by the recall based off of three numbers in the 10-digit manufacturing code on the back of the packets. If you have a product that is being recalled, Mars Wrigley says you should throw it away and contact the company at 1 (800) 651-2562 or visit their website here.
