Seattle Musicians: Get Paid To Play At Local Businesses During Peak Hours

This is so dope!

A while back a mentioned a relief fund for musicians that were struggling during the pandemic being that they could not perform live at venues, well as of 11/27/21 the City of Seattle has created a program called "Shop to the Beat" where local artists will link up with local businesses to perform during business peak hours and help bring in traffic. And did I mention these musicians are being paid to perform? More details on how you can submit your business or be a performer below:

Shop to the Beat is a new recovery program created to support small businesses, local musicians, and neighborhood business areas throughout the city. This program will match musicians and small retail businesses to provide in-store performances during peak hours, help increase foot traffic and sales for retailers, and provide competitive pay for musicians who were significantly impacted by the pandemic.

We partnered with Gigs4U — a local organization that curates artists and produces live music performances in traditional and non-traditional settings — to pair up interested musicians and small retail businesses.

Shop to the Beat performances will begin on November 27 for Small Business Saturday and continue throughout the holiday shopping season.

Are you a small retail business interested in having a free performance at your location?

To participate in this program, please submit the Shop to the Beat Application to share your contact information and select your preferred days, times and style of music.

Are you a local musician interested in performing at a small business this holiday season?
