Fans Think Taylor Swift's Latest Post Hints A New Album Is Coming

Taylor Swift’s Swifties may be on to something!

Fans have so many theories about the “Cardigan” singer’s latest Twitter post, and honestly, we’re pretty excited about it too! It all went down on Sunday (November 22) when Swift tweeted a seemingly innocent photo of herself laying out on a couch in what looks to be a remote cabin, but it was the cryptic caption that sparked fan theories among Swifties.

“Not a lot going on at the moment," the pop star wrote with the picture, causing fans to scratch their heads over the post. It wasn’t until fans started sleuthing around through Swift’s older tweets that they made an interesting discovery.

“Right what’s all this then,” one user tweeted with a side-by-side photo of Swift using the exact same caption on an Instagram photo in April.

Another follower had the same hunch. "LAST TIME SHE DID THIS SHE STARTED RECORDING FOLKLORE," they tweeted, referring to Swift’s surprise, out-of-the-blue eighth studio album, folklore, which dropped this July.

The speculation of a ninth studio album from Swift seems to be the consensus among other fans as well. “OMG TS9,” one tweeted, as another account jokingly predicted, “i know u damn well u made a whole album before posting this pic.”

Of course, Swift isn’t one to readily spill details on her music projects, so only time will tell whether she truly is dropping a new album soon.

Speculations aside, what we do know is that she’s already started re-recording her earlier music.

Swift doubled down on this during last night’s American Music Awards while accepting the Artist of the Year trophy. "The reason I'm not there tonight is [because] I'm actually re-recording all of my old music in the studio where we originally recorded it,” she shared. “So, it's been amazing, I can't wait for you to hear it.”
