Well this is frightening! An Amtrak train coming from Los Angeles to Chicago derailed on its route on Monday. According to CBS Los Angeles, the train hit a dump truck at a railroad crossing.
Apparently, there were 243 passengers and 12 crew members on board. There have been reports of multiple injuries.
From the pictures that passengers have been sharing on social media, the site is scary. The train is completely on its side with people standing on and around the cars.
