All Star Opera featured artist in Seattle World Tour Foundation’s Music with a Message campaign
March 31, 2021 | Seattle, WA: While the Save our Stages relief bill has been passed and businesses across the country are going to start receiving relief. It's still been over a year since artists have been able to play live. Making a living off music in one of the most expensive cities in the US has been astronomically harder the past 13 months, but the local creatives behind the Seattle World Tour were not ones to be stagnant and put together a campaign to provide a platform and monetization opportunities for local artists while also giving back to the community.
The Music with a Message Campaign featured 12 local artists from all genres and walks of life and which runs until April X, is the brainchild of Respect My Region and Seattle band, All Star Opera. In the last two weeks, the campaign featured local artistsDave ShanaéandLa Fonda.
This week, the campaign featuresAll Star Opera, a Seattle-based hip hop group committed to creating soul-stirring music and art for the benefit of the people.
The goal of the Music with a Message campaign is to raise food donations and funds forRainier Valley Food BankandSouth King County & Eastside COVID Mutual Aid.To date, more than 1,130 pounds of food has been raised. Last week, members of All Opera volunteered at the Food Bank.
"It was a humbling experience volunteering at Rainier Valley Food Bank this past week with the Seattle World Tour team. Knowing that RVFB feeds a couple thousand families most operatingdays puts a lot of things into perspective. Equally so, knowing that we've raised well over 1,000lbs of food through a campaign that promotes local music makes it more special. Donations really go a long way whether it's food and funds. We hope more people will continue to show up for those in need this year and beyond. It's not easy out here right now." Said Seth McDonald, member of All Star Opera and Seattle World Tour Foundation co-founder.
A teaser videois available today, a full performance video will be released Thursday, April 1 and a full interview will be released on Friday, April 2 on the Foundation’s IGTV and YouTube channels.

One of the fastest growing bands in the region. Hip Hop/Soul band, All Star Opera, has quickly become one of the most prominent bands in Seattle. After being named ‘Best Band in Seattle’ 2017 by Seattle Weekly, the word started getting around that these guys know how to get down. It’s ideas like their Seattle World Tour that set them apart from any other band.
Since 2011, Respect My Region has bridged the gap between the people of the Northwest and dope urban culture.
