Key things you need to know about Washington state voting:

  • Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
  • The deadline to register online to vote is Monday, October 26, 2020.
  • The deadline for registering by mail to vote is (received by) Monday, October 26, 2020.
  • The deadline to register in person to vote is Tuesday, November 3, 2020. The deadline to update an existing voter registration with a new name or address is Monday, October 26, 2020.
  • The early voting period runs from Friday, October 16, 2020 to Tuesday, November 3, 2020, but dates and hours may vary based on where you live.
  • You can also register and vote on Election Day.

Can Felons vote:

  • If you were convicted of a felony in a Washington State court, your right to vote is restored automatically once you are no longer under the authority of DOC (in prison or on community custody). If you have questions about your status with DOC, call at (800) 430-9674.
  • If you were convicted of a felony in another state or in federal court, your right to vote is restored automatically as long as you are not currently incarcerated for that felony.
  • You do not lose the right to vote for a misdemeanor conviction or a conviction in juvenile court.
  • You do not need a certificate of discharge (COD) to have your voting rights restored. [source]
