What would the world be without emojis!? Like, how would we express ourselves!? No, but really! Emojis have spiced up the way that we communicate and made expressing ourselves via text easier so it's important that we have emojis that represent the world we live in. That's why emoji has strived to update their collection with emojis that best repress the times. This month, emoji announced the new emoji package due for this month include a bunch of new smiley faces and a few fun images in specific. Some of the new smiley faces include the popular melting face, saluted face and the outlined face! Some of the new emojis include a coral reef, an empty battery and a Hamsa hand!
Of course with the release of every emoji package, there's a few that spark controversy or public approval. This time around, one of my favorite edition to the new emoji pack include the option to diversify your emojis because multicultural collaboration exists! In a statement released from the Emojipedia, "the new handshake emojis from Emoji 14 use the same interface as first used for the new people holding hands, that share a skin tone modifier, and 20 which combine two different skin tone options. emoji allows each skin tone to be chosen separately." As I always say, representation matters in all forms so this is really exciting! Whether on TV or social media or emoji, everyone deserves and needs to be seen! What do you think!?
