I've done a lot of flying in my lifetime and besides Orlando International Airport in Florida, Seatac has got to be one of the weirdest airports of them all! I've witnessed way too much! From a shooting outside the airport to the wackiest "brawl" inside the airport, I swear it's always something! Earlier this month, TSA posted a hilarious video to their Instagram account showing a cube (or a KUBE) of raw chicken on the luggage carousel at SeaTac. “Somewhere between baggage and the carousel [the chicken] became free range,” the TSA joked on a since deleted post on Instagram. Online users we're quick to point out their disgust and empathy for passengers that had to fish around the chicken for their luggage. “There is not enough Lysol and Clorox to clean up after this."
The TSA went on to warn passengers flying with meat that the proper packaging is required both with carry-on and checked bagging. “Meat, seafood and other non-liquid food items are permitted in both carry-on and checked bags,” according to the TSA’s official instructions for transporting fresh meat and seafood. The meat may be packed in dry ice, ice or ice packs, the TSA says — "but if ice or ice packs are used, they must be completely frozen at the time of screening," they continued. Since the pandemic, airlines have gone viral on weekly basis with crazy stories such as one where a man was taped to sit during a Spirit Airlines flight. According to the FAA, fines for unruly passenger behavior have tripled since the beginning of the year!
I don't know if there's something in the air but if you're in the air stay safe, mind your business and secure your meat! What's the craziest thing you've done or seen at an airport? Hit me up on IG @BennettKnows!
