It's the weekend! This Friday brought so many new releases with a couple of surprise album releases and announcements! It looks like the final quarter of 2020 will be full of new music! From Lil Was X and Seattle's Lil Mosey to Kanye West and 2 Chainz, heres some of the new releases you should add to your playlist this weekend!
Lil Nas X - “Holiday”
Lil Nas X returns to the scene with a new single titled “HOLIDAY”. On the track, the “Old Town Rapper” claps back at critics and haters alike while flexing his Diamond and Platinum plaques. After coming out in 2019, Nas also addresses his sexuality on the controversial turn-up. “HOLIDAY” serves as the lead single off of Lil Nas X’s debut album!
Lil Mosey - “Jumpin Out The Face”
After teaming up with Tyga and Swae Lee on “Krabby Step,” Seattle’s very own Lil Mosey drops some fire with a new solo single titled “Jumpin Out The Face”. On the bouncy track, Mosey delivers party vibes that are definitely needed in 2020. Lil Mosey is another artist that is sitting on a major label debut! Until that drops, turn up with one!
City Girls - “P*ssy Talk (Remix)”
After killing their BET Hip Hop Awards performance, the City Girls are plugging in Quabo and Lil Wayne to for the “P*ssy Talk (Remix)”. On the reproduced banger, Migos frontman Quavo, newcomer Jack Harlow and Weezy add some sauce to the already turned up banger! WHo do you think had the best verse?
Future & Lil Uzi Vert - “Drankin N Smokin”
Ayyye! Future and Lil Uzi Vert unexpectedly released their highly anticipated collaboration album Pluto! The 16-track project comes with a handful of vibes enough to carry you through the new year. If you're looking for a taste of the album before you decide to stream, check out “Drankin N Smokin”. The smooth single is a smooth piece that highlights the perfect contrast between Future and Lil Uzi Vert! Take off in your spaceship and land on Pluto!
2 Chainz - “Feel A Way” ft. Kanye West & Brent Faiyaz
2 Chainz is another one that snuck up with a brand new album! The album So Help Me God has a vibe, as always! On the album you’ll find collaborations with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, Mulatto, Lil Uzi Vert and Chief Keef. Once again, if you’re looking for an introduction to this vibe, you have to check out “Feel A Way”! The track finds 2 Chainz and Kanye West spitting some controversial lines betweens the haunting vocals delivered by newcomer Brent Faiyaz! It’s definitely time to get familiar!
Kanye West - “Nah Nah Nah (Remix)”
After finally accepting he will not be the president, Kanye West plugs in Da Baby and 2 Chainz for the “Nah Nah Nah (Remix)”. On the track, Kanye flexes his presidential ticket amongst the fashion, accolades and lavish lifestyle. At this point, especially nowadays, it’s the production for me - not the content! Meanwhile, fans continue to wait for Kanye’s ninth album DONDA, which was announced back in July but never came into fruition!
