Happy Friday! This week there were a handful of releases with a few album releases and anticipated singles that topped off the work week - all perfect to bring those vibes through the weekend. From Saweetie to Jack Harlow and Joyner Lucas to Post Malone, here's some of the new releases I think you should add to your playlists this weekend!
Ty Dolla $ign - "Spicy" ft. Post Malone
After topping the charts with Post Malone back in 2018 on the 5x Platinum single “Psycho,” Ty Dolla $ign plugs in Posty for the lead single off his brand new album Featuring Ty Dolla $ign. “Spic” is a bouncy vibe that finds Ty $’s looking for a special lady to spice up his night. Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, which features appearances from Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Roddy Ricch, Big Sean, Kehlani, Jhené Aiko, and many more, hit shelves and streaming services today!
Saweetie - "Back to the Streets" ft. Jhene Aiko
After making a full comeback with the sampled hit “Tap In,” Bay Area Saweetie comes through with a smooth and original vibe titled “Back To The Streets”. Teaming up with R&B songstress Jhene Aiko, the duo set the tone following a break-up. The singles “Tap In” and “Back to the Streets” all lead up to Saweetie’s debut Pretty Bitch Music, with production from Danja, Lil Jon, Murda Beatz, and more, coming soon!
H.E.R. - "Damage"
Earlier this week, H.E.R. returned to the scene with a brand new single titled “Damage”. The vulnerable track finds the songstress warning others to cherish what they have before damage. “Careful what you take for granted, yeah / ‘Cause with me, know you could do damage,” she croons over a smooth Cardiak and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman production. This weekend, H.E.R. will be joining host Adele to perform the track as special musical guest! “Damage” is the first single off of H.E.R.’s forthcoming album.
Jack Harlow - "Tyler Herro"
This Summer Jack Harlow made an impact becoming a household name with the debut single “WHATS POPPIN”. After plugging in Da Baby, Tory Lanez & Lil Wayne on the remix, Harlow continues to make a splash with a new single inspired by the Miami Heat Rookie that once played in his hometown “Tyler Herro”. On the track, Jack flexes his new found fame and lavish lifestyle over a Boi-1da and Scott Storch production. Sounds like another hit! Time to get familiar!
Ariana Grande - "positions"
Ariana Grande returned to the scene with a sultry jam titled “positions”. The new single finds Grande flexing maturity and growth as she navigates the relationship over a London On Da Track and Tommy Brown. “Positions” serves as the lead single off of Ariana Grande’s sixth studio album and follow-up to 2019’’s thank u, next. The anticipated album, due October 30th, has a really big Doja Cat collaboration that will make airwaves for sure! Until then, check out Ariana Grande in “positions” below!
Joyner Lucas - “Snitch”
Earlier this week, Joyner Lucas just released a brand new single titled “Snitch”. The track which follows the steamy collaboration with Ashanti on “Fall Slowly” finds Joyner playing devil's advocate once again but this time over the theme of “snitching”. “Snitch” and “Fall Slowly” are both singles off of Joyner’s new album EVOLUTION which hit stands and streaming services today! The album, following March’s ADHD, features appearances from The Game, Rick Ross, Ashanti, Iyla, and Elijah James.
ICYMI: Kanye West - “Nah Nah Nah”
In case you missed it, fresh on the campaign trail, independent vice presidential candidate Kanye West released a brand new single titled “Nah Nah Nah”. On the track, Kanye flexes his presidential ticket amongst the fashion, accolades and lavish lifestyle. At this point, especially nowadays, it’s the production for me - not the content! Meanwhile, fans continue to wait for Kanye’s ninth album DONDA, which was announced back in July but never came into fruition!
ICYMI: G-Eazy & Blackbear - “Hate The Way”
In case you missed it, G-Eazy returned to the scene on a new single produced by Blackbear. On the single titled “Hate The Way,” G-Eazy faces a broken relationship by learning to be alone. The single was originally set to feature Juice World but his verse was removed for his posthumous album . “Hate The Way” is the first single off of G Eazy’s highly anticipated album These Things Happen Too. Make sure you turn this one up when you hear it on KUBE933!
