If your'e looking for music to spice up your normal quarantine schedule, I got a vibe that will add some nostalgia to your day while motivating you for what I'm calling the "let-out of 2020"! On the sixth day of the quarantine, hip-hop gave to me Drake's Nothing Was The Same. Released back in 2013, Drake's third studio brought a handful of hits including the unforgettable bop "Started From The Bottom," the sing-along "Hold On We're Going Home," and the notable flex on "Worst Behavior". In between the hits are nostalgic cuts like "The Language," the emotional "From Time" featuring Jhene Aiko and the bouncy "Come Thru". Of course, between the nostalgic moments that will have you reminiscing "good times" and emotional tracks that will have you ready to text your ex, there are turn-up tracks like "All Me" featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean that will have you and your quarantine buddies bopping your heads and whiting you were at the club! Finally, "Furthest Thing" and "Own It," both tracks that had me spitting each and every lyric and reminding me of exactly why Drake is the man today! Overall, great album that brought me back to my turnt-up under grad school days which were oddly similar to the quarantine life we're all living now! On that note, bump this album in your "dorm rooms"! Until our next quarantine vibe, stay happy and stay healthy!
